The painting "Farewell Boet" has been sourced at the Woolworths Head Office in Cape Town
Purchased in 1991 by the Wooltru collection, the painting was originally exhibited at the Cape Town Triennial in 1991.
The painting is a socio-political comment on the death of cult hero Boetie Davis, found dead after having become involved in politics in the early '90s in South Africa's previous homeland of Transkei.
